Canberra Shutters
About the company
Canberra Shutters is a family owned and locally operated business. The owner and installer is Steve Timbrell, who has over 20 years of experience in manufacturing and installing shutters and blinds. All installations are undertaken by director Steven Timbrell, who handles all jobs from start to finish. The business does not have a showroom and conducts private in-home consultations.
It supports Australian-made products where possible and uses a professional online quoting system. Steve will quote, measure and install, and the business does not pay sales people or other installers. Services include roller shutters, plantation shutters, blinds, awnings and zipscreens, and repairs and service.
What customers say
Based on genuine customer reviews
Steve, described in reviews as the owner who also handles sales, quoting and installation himself, is the constant thread through Canberra Shutters' feedback. Customers point to his technical knowledge of roller shutters and electric roller shutter systems, and to straightforward resolution when small issues came up after installation. Word of mouth features heavily, with several reviewers saying they came via a neighbour's recommendation before returning themselves for additional rooms.

My experience dealing with Canberra Shutters was extremely positive. From the quote stage right through to the install, Steve delivered on every promise. Amazing service and quality product at a good price. Highly recommend Canberra Shutters.
We are so happy with our plantation shutters! Steve was so professional and did an amazing job on the installation - providing lots of knowledge and ideas in the lead up. I highly recommend Steve from Canberra Shutters!
Steve recently installed plantation shutters throughout my house. He provided great service and was very easy to deal with. I'm thrilled with the end result.
Steve was very professional to deal with. He provided comparisons of other products and options out there in the market, and ensured us that the products he used and the service he provided would be top quality! The install went smoothly, his team were professional and respectful and we are delighted with the result. He also gave us peace of mind, saying we can contact him if we ever have a problem. I would 100% go through Canberra Shutters again.
We have had three shutters installed by Steve of Caberra Shutters. He is a professional. Appointments were kept, communications were appropriate and the finished product looks great and operates smoothly. And they were installed between showers of rain on a bleak day, so full marks for going the extra mile. We highly recommend Steve to anyone wanting to have shutters installed.
I chose Canberra Shutters because my Neighbours had used their service and were very happy. Naturally after renovating my ensuite this year I contacted Steve for a quote and then went ahead. The process was effortless and the product is high quality. Steve was very professional . We have now decided to use his business again and put shutters in our bathroom. I highly recommend Canberra Shutters.
Great service. Steve is very easy to deal with from the quote to the finish of the install. I highly recommend him for Roller Shutter Jobs in Canberra.
