J & B Canvas & Shade Sails Canberra

J & B Canvas & Shade Sails is a family-owned and operated business that was established in Queanbeyan in 1972. It has over 50 years of industry experience. Brendon Hourigan has owned and operated the business for over 18 years, while Geoff, the prior owner, still works in the workshop after 40 years.

The company manufactures all products in its Queanbeyan workshop and serves Canberra and Queanbeyan. It provides custom shade sails, awnings, blinds, and canopies, and specialises in Ziptrak® Guided Blinds.

J & B Canvas & Shade Sails Canberra has built a reputation on canvas and awning work that customers describe as high quality and long lasting. One reviewer, six months after a caravan awning replacement, remained very happy with both the workmanship and the product, while others report similar satisfaction with camping trailer covers and a Ute canopy completed in a single day. The team, and Brendan in particular, is frequently mentioned for being friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, with several customers noting that advice is freely given and problems are sorted on the spot, including a camper trailer zipper repaired without charge.

Fast and efficient service comes up often, as does fair pricing for the standard of work delivered. Turnaround is generally reported as quick, with one Ute canopy finished within a day, and the finish on canvas items is consistently described as professional. Customers in the Queanbeyan area repeatedly say they would return and recommend the business for canvas and awning repairs and replacements. The recurring theme is dependable workmanship, approachable staff and a result that holds up well over time.
