Stewart Canvas

Canvas work of a custom and repair nature is the mainstay of this North Hobart operation, and the feedback gathered around it centres on Neil, whose craftsmanship and manner are singled out repeatedly. Trailer covers, caravan draft skirts, canopies for tub racks and poptop repairs appear among the jobs described, with reviewers noting heavy-duty PVC, modern materials, zippers and runners where relevant. Several customers describe workmanship as excellent and consistent, including pieces made to engineering drawings with complicated shapes that arrive matching the plan.

Turnaround is portrayed as quick, even for small jobs taken on at short notice, and one thing mentioned again and again is fair pricing relative to the quality delivered. Communication and reliability are likewise praised, with requests accommodated on an ad hoc basis over many years and deadlines met. A number of reviews mention Neil's friendly, helpful approach, his willingness to take on awkward work and the care evident in the finished product, whether patching holes in a campervan or fabricating a full canopy. The impression left is of a craftsman who takes pride in the result and deals with customers straightforwardly from quote through to fitting.
