GV Blinds

GV Blinds is a locally owned and operated blinds and shutters business based in Shepparton, founded by Darren King in 2021. Darren King is the owner and operator and has over 30 years of industry experience, including work on contracts for The Spirit of Tasmania and Centrepoint Tower in Sydney. The business manufactures roller blinds in Shepparton and offers custom blinds, curtains, shutters and outdoor awnings. It provides an end-to-end service including measure, make, install and maintain, with free measure and quotes.

Products are backed by 2–5 year product warranties and comply with Australian Child Safety Standards (AS/NZS 60335.2.97 and ACCC regulations). The business installs cord and chain-free systems, including motorised and spring-loaded options. Motorised systems use Motolux smart systems. Product range includes Tru Blockout roller blinds, PVC plantation shutters made in Melbourne, and Ziptrack, automatic, crank handle and straight drop awnings. GV Blinds services Greater Shepparton and surrounding areas including Shepparton, Mooroopna, Tatura, Kyabram, Nathalia, Cobram, Yarrawonga, Benalla, Euroa, Seymour, Elmore, Heathcote, Murchison, Tungamah and Echuca.

Homeowners and unit owners around Shepparton describe a smooth process when arranging locally made window coverings, with roller shutters, awnings and blinds all featuring in the feedback. Darren is named repeatedly by reviewers, who credit him with guiding them from the initial enquiry through to completion, answering questions promptly and sharing his enthusiasm and deep product knowledge. A recurring point is the measured quotation, which customers say was explained clearly before any installation went ahead.

The finished work draws consistent praise, with blinds, shutters and awnings described as looking good and operating properly, including a job where a three-metre chain was produced locally to suit an unusually high window without fuss. Reviewers also note keen pricing and fast turnaround, with quotes often coming in below others received, and the wider team is described as friendly and efficient. Neat, precise workmanship is mentioned alongside clear communication during and after the job. Several customers write that they would return for future projects and pass the company on to others, with one noting a fitting at a two-bedroom unit in Tatura.
