Curtain Wonderland Townsville

Curtain Wonderland was founded in 1971 by brother and sister Neville Russell and Pam Tacey. The first Curtain Wonderland store opened in Mt Gravatt, Brisbane. The business initially focused on soft-furnishing fabrics. Curtain Wonderland is part of Kresta Holdings Limited, described as Australia's largest window coverings company. Curtain Wonderland designs, manufactures and sells its own products. It offers readymade products, custom made curtains and blinds, and an in-home measure service.

In Garbutt, Townsville, this retailer earns steady praise for the helpfulness and knowledge of its team across curtain, blind and homewares purchases. Customers describe service that went beyond expectations, with staff taking the time to solve problems and locate stock that was unavailable elsewhere, and individual team members are singled out by name for their patience and product advice, among them Brooke, Darlene and Katalina. More than one review highlights the breadth of the range, including sheer curtains and blockout blinds, and note that orders have been posted to buyers in other states without fuss.

Pricing is described as reasonable and cost effective, and returns are handled smoothly, with staff understanding the reason for an exchange and helping to choose a suitable replacement. The ladies in the showroom are frequently credited with a friendly manner and a willingness to help that makes the whole process straightforward. Fair value, extensive stock and attentive personal service are the themes that come up most often, with named staff at the centre of the experience.
