Based on genuine customer reviews
Chris, described as the owner-operator of Southern Shutters, is named in every review for quoting and overseeing jobs that range from new plantation shutters and fly screens to outdoor deck blinds. One reviewer had Chris repair UV-damaged plantation shutters rather than replace them, saving considerable cost and avoiding landfill, an approach they specifically praised. Several customers describe using Southern Shutters for a second or third job, with Tanya mentioned for admin support and a follow-up call after installation.

Chris, Simon and Sean were fantastic and professional with great knowledge in tackling our roof blind. They came several times to review measure and quote our job, sought manufacturer and experts advice and set out a plan to retrospectively fit out and install belts. On the day we’re quick, efficient, polite and thorough. Very pleased with the result and would recommend them to anyone.
Great service, we had our shutters installed back in 2018 and were very happy with the result. One of the spring loaded pins disappeared so I contacted Chris and had spare pins in my hand early the next day. Highly recommend this company!
Called to repair some plantation shutters that got damaged during a renovation. Great communication. 1st appointment got cancelled but I was advised about it without having to call. Arrived the next day and Simon measured and had them fixed that afternoon. Great service.
We've had Southern Shutters Vertical Blinds in our home for almost 10 years. Beautiful blinds that hang, still looking brand new today. Very satisfied with the blinds, they've kept their color, haven't faded. Recently we invested in Shutters to other areas of the house, that are practical in keeping the sun out on hot days, and look attractive in both from inside and outside. We are very pleased with the products and excellent, friendly service provided by Chris and his team. Highly recommended.
Very happy with our Southern Shutters installation. Wish I had purchased them earlier as they are such a good product for our windows. Very satisfied with blocking out light and noise.
After the first phone call to Chris from Southern Shutters I knew I would be expertly handled. Every option was laid out slowly and confidently and boy did they deliver I was measured with precision and the product and service was smooth, sturdy and fitted so well. I’ll just say that my windows weren’t the only thing really well taken care off!
Have used Southern Shutters on a number of occasions in Wollongong and the Shoalhaven. Chris and all of his staff have provided excellent service, with great follow up if required, very competitive pricing and always courteous and friendly. Would highly recommend.
