Spotlight Orange

Typical spotlight, always well stocked with a good variety 👍

This was one of the most uncomfortable shopping experiences I’ve had in Orange. I arrived around 4:50 pm, unaware that the store closes at 5 pm. When the closing announcement was made, a staff member approached and told me the store was closed. I acknowledged her and immediately started walking towards the exit, but she followed me and repeated it in a very rude and intimidating manner. I had to tell her that I heard her the first time and was already leaving. At the exit, I politely said thank you, but the staff member at the door gave me a strange and unfriendly look before opening the locked door. The entire interaction made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. I will not be returning.

Staff are not authorised to do anything unless the store manager is in. Couldn’t place an order online or over the phone until the store manager was in. Young and untrained staff didn’t know when they would be in, and weren’t authorised to contact them to find out when they would be arriving?

As a first time shopper, they seemingly do the bare minimum for item organisation & finding the price of a product is difficult. Staff presence & assistance was laughable and my check-out was grueling as the staff (aware of me) continued their personal conversation only attending me once completed. To elaborate on organisation, The Isles were littered with unsorted items (various types & sizes) and the dedicated areas (bedding, blinds, decor & bathroom) were stacked & overflowing into isles or conflicting zones (bedding into blinds/house decor) while the entryway was a hoarders dream house. Certain areas were organised well (kitchenware) but a majority of the store was a hassle to navigate; most notably bedding & the entryway. Multiple brands shared the same racks or tubs without attached & dedicated price tags which meant important customer information (THE PRICE) was non-existent without employee (unhelpful) or website assistance. A gross oversight.

I was sold the wrong size furniture staples by team member went to Orange store today to swap over to the correct size and was told no swap I did not have receipt but was on my spotlight card. Disappointed that the swap could not be done for such a small product. Terrible service and rude employees never going back, refuse warranty or refunds.

I just love getting cut off by them at around 8:15am… we are all just trying to drop our kids off at school and also make it to work… please tell me what your rush is???? Just couldn’t get out of bed early enough and now it’s every body else’s problem ?

Half the isles in the store cluttered and trolleys can not get into the width of them. Pretty poor when u are using a store trolley with a child sitting in the chair . Very inconvenient and unsafe. Walked out after not being able to get into bedding isles because of this.
