Mackay Curtain Making Service – Luxaflex Window Fashions Gallery

Mackay Curtain Making Service has served the Mackay community since 1985 and has been part of the Luxaflex Window Fashions Gallery since 2009. Deanne and Gino bought the business in 2003; Deanne began working there in 2000 and Gino has lived in Queensland for 31 years.

Dominic is Service Manager and has been involved since he was a young teenager, and Shannon joined at the beginning of 2023. The business provides solutions for homes, holiday houses and commercial properties, with commercial projects including government housing, Kerrisdale Gardens retirement home, Mater Misericordiae Hospital, Mackay, and Moranbah Community Centre. It supplies blinds, shades, shutters, customised curtains, giftware and furniture, as well as external awnings and cyclone-rated roller shutters. It also offers a re-upholstery service, works with local designers and provides an in-home consultation service.

Personalised service and product expertise stand out across the feedback for this Mackay blinds and curtain specialist. Customers describe long-standing relationships, with one household returning over roughly fifteen years and others noting that repeat visits have consistently met expectations. Deanne and Gino are frequently named for their attentive care, while Shannon is credited with thorough product knowledge in the showroom and Dominic with guiding selections during measuring and quoting, arriving punctually and working professionally. The installation of curtains, Duette blinds and updated window furnishings is mentioned often, and reviewers highlight the quality of the finished result alongside accommodating advice throughout the process.

Communication before and after the job is a recurring theme, with customers expressing gratitude for patience during selection and for the team's willingness to answer questions. Turnaround on a recent project was described as roughly three weeks. Reviews time and again mention that the service felt considerate and that the products matched the guidance given, leaving households pleased with their new window coverings and inclined to return for future work. The workshop's capacity to handle both made-to-measure curtains and branded blinds is reflected in accounts of projects completed across the region.
