ScreenAway Blinds

Had Phil over tonight to discuss our options. He was a very friendly and pleasant person, but he asked me to write a review while he was still at our house. I found that a little uncomfortable because I don't even have the product installed yet, so I have no way of knowing how I'll feel about the overall experience. I felt it was a bit pushy to ask for a review on the spot, and I don't think that's a great practice. I believe customers should be able to experience the product before being asked to leave feedback. The prices are also quite expensive. Phil explained that their blinds are 100% blockout and suggested that other companies don't truly offer the same level of blockout, even if they claim to. While this product may be of a higher quality, selling it as though other companies' products won't do the job is a bit disappointing. My sister has 100% blockout blinds from another company and has been very happy with them, so I don't think it's fair to imply that this is the only brand offering an effective blockout solution. They currently have a promotion for free installation, which is a nice incentive. However, you're expected to make a decision while the salesperson is still in your home in order to receive the offer. Given the significant cost, this creates an uncomfortable amount of pressure. Since this is a major investment, I think it would be more reasonable to send an email allowing customers until the next day to accept the promotion. That would give people time to discuss the purchase privately and sleep on such an important decision. At this stage, I'm still unsure whether I made the right choice by going ahead, as I did feel pressured. That said, I don't blame Phil personally—he was friendly and was simply doing his job. My concerns are with the sales process rather than the salesperson.

A special thank you to David who helped us choose our blinds. He was absolutely lovely—friendly, knowledgeable, and never pushy. He took the time to explain all of our options, answered every question we had, and made sure we found the perfect blinds for our home. His genuine kindness and excellent customer service made the whole experience enjoyable.

I would not recommend this company at all. If I could give a 0 star rating I would. Their customer service when purchasing was amazing and they were great when we first had them installed, the room was very dark. Just after warranty had ran out the string on one of our blinds snapped and I contacted screenaway straight away. They informed me that it would be $180 call out fee then a $90/hour fee to fix this blind. I asked to purchase the parts to do it myself and it took a good 6-8 weeks for them to get back to me about sending it out. We fixed this blind and since then 4 others have also done the same thing. I originally purchased 9 blinds so 5 out of 9 have broken. I am very disappointed in the quality of these blinds and the customer service or lack of. I’m about to throw these in the bin as once they break it makes them useless and now I can’t open my windows unless I clamp them up. I will never purchase or recommend these blinds to anyone.

Screenaway blockout blinds are a great product. I highly recommend them. It can completely block out and darken your room. The finish is sleek and minimalist and a variety of colours to choose from to suit any decor. We liked it so much we've had them back three times now. Jeremy from Screenaway helped solve our problem of needing a privacy screen and a block out without a bulky cassette. Jeremy suggested the perfect twin blind it gives the room light and privacy during the day and total darkness when the block out comes down. Our reps have been great and knowledgeable about the products. Thanks Jeremy and Mo. Just one warning about these blinds...set an alarm or you may not wake up at a decent hour in the morning!

Great quality blinds that will change your experience. It totally blockout the light and looks beautiful. Graham is a legend, nice guy and does a great job. he walks in, install in a neat clean way and he walks out with a big smile. Can’t recommend enough. Great price for greater product, will see the after sales services.

The screenaway block out blinds are incredible, I am so happy with the product, I can completely block out all light at any time of day, perfect for improving sleep for light sensitive sleepers. Highly recommend this company, they are so easy to deal with, it was an overall great experience.
