Western Tarps and Motor Trimming

Western Tarps and Motor Trimming is a family-owned business with over 30 years of experience, serving Dubbo and surrounding areas. The company specialises in custom-made covers, canopies, tonneaus, and shade sails for vehicles, boats, and equipment.

It provides motor trimming services including repairs and installations of carpets, panels, and seats. Materials used include PVC, canvas, shade cloth, and poly. Repair services include re-stitching, patching, and zipper replacement. Western Tarps and Motor Trimming also offers Protecta Van, providing custom wall, floor, and door linings for vans.

Shade sails, made-to-measure tarps, vehicle protectors and automotive interior trimming such as headlining replacement are the jobs that come up most often in feedback for this Dubbo operator, which also covers upholstery and camping-related goods. Les King is named regularly, with customers describing sound guidance on shade sail projects and a readiness to answer questions before work starts. Reviewers repeatedly mention that the team makes an extra effort and that the finished product meets expectations, whether a one-off stone protector or a custom tarp.

Turnaround speed is another recurring theme, with fast completion on custom orders noted alongside efficient service overall. Pricing comes across as fair and reasonable for the standard of work delivered, and the people behind the counter are consistently called friendly and easy to deal with. The family-run character of the business is mentioned, with Viv singled out by name. Automotive trimming, including headlining replacement, is a further area where results are praised. Custom fabrication capability stands out as the service customers return for.
