4.4 / 5 · 1704 totalThis was a great experience from start to finish. It all began with my visit to the Norwood showroom, where I spoke with Marina about my new curtains. She was knowledgeable, caring, and really took the time to listen to what I was looking for. Her advice made the whole process easy and enjoyable. Vince, who completed the final installation, was fantastic. He took his time, paid great attention to detail, and did an excellent job. The finished result looks amazing. I couldn't be happier with the service and would highly recommend Burns for Blinds to anyone looking for quality products and outstanding customer service.
I had a very poor experience seeing one of your fully branded Burns for Blinds vans on the road, registration S 189 CJV. The driver was speeding, cutting people off and smoking while driving. It was disappointing to see this behaviour in a company vehicle, especially one covered in advertising. When staff are driving branded vans, they are representing the business, and this sort of driving comes across as unsafe and unprofessional. I hope Burns for Blinds takes this seriously and reminds its drivers that road safety and public behaviour matter.
Just nope ! Service at the sales center was great . Check measure seemed standard and quick as they had the measurements and plans from the sales center . Install day of blinds -poor communication -poor workmanship -damage to property -mess left and chocking hazards left for pets and small children . -check not done to ensure products aren’t damaged or working correctly . -installers used guest bathroom and left it in an unexpected condition even for a public bathroom . We expressed our concerns to Anil the ‘manager ‘ who gave us hope all damage will be fixed they would return to site when curtains were ready with a different installer to ‘fix’ the pervious job . Second experience installer was delightful . Had know knowledge of fixing any previous work . Went to put up curtains and they weren’t long enough . Check measure sheet says floor to ceiling OR floor to cornice the only conversation had was in the sales center about floor to ceiling but it seems they are not long enough for either . No remedy or accountability for any of it . No problems taking all our money and leaving us now with 1/3 of a job done . Damage to our property and acknowledging what could have been a visit to the vet for our dog . We are gutted , this seems to be incredibly poor service or straight out criminal . Seems we should have had looked at the reviews before going with this company as it seems to be a few out there that have suffered the same experience . It has been 2 weeks since half our blinds were installed . 4 days since they came back to ‘fix’ them and disappoint us again, job still not done . No remedy offered still 6 months on despite promise of all damage being repaired and outdoor blind being replaced still not done . 3rd visit from BFB and replacement blind has been measured incorrectly. As they have now taken the original one so the don’t miss measure again we are left now with nothing and still no repair to the damaged property .
We purchased two roller shutters from this business a few years ago. It was evident in hindsight that the installation team did not have the necessary knowledge or skills. We were required to pay a steep call out fee when one shutter broke less than 24 months later, and the repairer (who in all due fairness was lovely and seemed to do a good job) acknowledged the installation team was at fault. The shutter has since broken again, and we have experienced terrible customer service and extremely poor communications following a further request for service, as well as another request to pay a steep call out fee. Is this the business model - provide poor products and service so that customers are forced to pay call out fees and further costs for years to come? Considering the cost of the product, this is not acceptable. Do not recommend.
I asked customer service to give us at least one hour’s notice before coming, as we do not live at the property and need time to drive there. However, they only gave us 10 minutes’ notice. My husband rushed to the property, but they refused to wait and cancelled the appointment. I then had to call the office myself, as there was no communication at all. When I asked when they would come back, I was simply told, “I don’t know, just wait.” This company is very difficult to deal with and I would not recommend them. They expect payment to be made quickly, but when we ask when the job will be done, the response is always “just wait, I will call you when it’s ready.” We have no clear information about when the curtain installation will actually take place.
Extremely disappointing service and poor customer care!! We chose Burns for Blinds based on their reputation, but our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. We visited the Magill showroom first, where we selected the blinds and design we wanted. However, when a staff member came to our home on 8 November 2025 to take measurements, none of our selections had been recorded, and we had to choose everything again. We were never asked about the type of blinds or the rolling direction. We were clearly told that installation would take around two weeks after payment, so we paid immediately due to urgent family circumstances. That promise was never met. Due to an internal system error, our payment was not visible in their system, and we only found out because we personally went back to the showroom. This caused further delays, and the second measurement did not take place until 22 November. Communication throughout the process was very poor. We had to constantly chase updates, and when we contacted them on 5 December, we were told the blinds were still in production, despite the two-week promise. When the blinds finally arrived, we were pressured to pay the remaining balance, and installation was almost cancelled within hours because payment was not made immediately during working hours. The response we received to our concerns was dismissive and unprofessional. The blinds were finally installed on 15 December, more than five weeks after payment, only for us to discover they were installed forward rolling, leaving gaps that allow light into the rooms. We were later told this is the “default” option and that we should have requested otherwise—despite never being asked or advised. The only solution offered was to pay more for a new quote. Overall, this experience showed a lack of organisation, poor communication, false promises, and no accountability. For a company with such a long history, we expected far better customer service.
I had security shutters installed on my front windows after concerns about break ins. Tony come out, explained options clearly and installed our shutters within 3 weeks and left no mess. Communication was clear, product quality feels strong, cost was a little higher than budget but worth it for peace of mind.
