Factory Direct Shutters, Awnings & Blinds
About the company
Factory Direct Shutters, Awnings & Blinds is a locally owned, family business that has operated for over 25 years. It began as a small shutters business on the Sunshine Coast. The company manufactures its own products rather than importing them, and its products are built to meet Australian standards.
It supplies and installs shutters, blinds, awnings, curtains and security screens. A mobile showroom is offered for free measure and quotes. The service area covers South East Queensland, Wide Bay and Northern Rivers. Warranty coverage is provided for both product and installation. Interest-free payment plans are available.
What customers say
Based on genuine customer reviews
Factory Direct Shutters, Awnings & Blinds reviewers repeatedly name the quoting staff, including Kim, James Chandler, Wendy and Cameron, for unhurried in-home consultations on vertical blinds, plantation shutters and curtains. Several customers went on to order additional curtains or outdoor blinds after an initial shutter job.

Second time using Factory Direct Blinds and Shutters. I was even more impressed the second time when I ordered security windows screens and doors, zip blinds and internal and external shutters. From sales (love Wendy) to measuring and installation, this is a team who works together, communicates well and works efficiently. The workmanship of our installer, Anthony, is second to none. I’ve recommended to family and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Very pleased with the result. Thank you team!
A huge thank you to Cameron, Kyle and Doug for our awesome shutters. Cameron was very meticulous in guiding us to our final choice, and what a choice it was. Kyle methodically measured our areas and the install with his colleague, Doug, went off like a charm, and the pictures show their end result. Not to mention how nice they made our patio look. I’m so impressed, we have Cameron coming back in a little over a week to quote the opposite side. We love them.
Absolute pleasure to deal with , from booking the quote with on line inquiry, a follow up call, prompt, professional quote by James , we were kept in the loop throughout the process , with our installer Damon doing an amazing job , we can’t be happier. My in-laws have also ordered and installed outdoor blinds with James also quoting and Sam installing, they have raved about the service!!
I was very impressed with the service we received from Factory direct Shutters. Kim was lovely when she came for the quote, she listened to our needs and gave us great advice. At no time did I feel pressured into buying the products. We were quoted for a vertical blind and Plantation Shutter. The quote for our blind and shutter was very affordable. Our Vertical blind has been Installed. The two gentleman that came to fit it where professional and friendly. Love the vertical in our family area it finishes it of nicely and complements the walls. Can't wait for the Plantation Shutter to ve Installed.
